When meeting an adviser, you will need to have the following information and items: Information you will need to supply
Advising your family about funeral services while respecting your wishes.
Contacting your parish or other organizations to arrange the funeral service or any other service according to your requirements.
Writing and translating the death notice and making arrangements to have the notice published in the newspapers of your choice.
Advising you about and referring you to the various florists who would meet your requirements.
Informing you of the various catering services available and helping you choose an appropriate menu.
Paying for the various services (florist, caterer, church, hall, other) so that you don't have to pay several bills.
Notifying various organizations of the death :
- The Directeur de l'état civil
- Income security
- Various other organizations (RAAQ, IVAC, veterans)
- Cancelling the health insurance card
