O’NEILL, David Roger on Saturday, July 18 at the CHUS Hotel Dieu at the age of 49 following a brief and dignified struggle with cancer. He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda (nee Speck), and four loving children, Sean, Erin, Andrea, and Cheryl and is predeceased by his beloved mother-in-law Glenna and sister-in-law Linda. Son of Gerald O’Neill and Jackie Paquin, brother of Peter (Linda-deceased), Norm (Gladys), Michelle (Gary) and Louis (Cecelia). Son-in-law of Carl Speck (Glenna-deceased), and brother-in-law of Randy (Debbie) and Dannie (Patti). Proud uncle of David, Christopher, Jolene, Sebie, Nici, Gregory and Katie. He will also be sadly missed by Michel Fortier, Claire Warkinton and the rest of the O’Neill and Speck families. Many thanks to the doctors and caregivers of the Montreal General and CHUS hospitals. Special thanks to John and Sandy Klinck for their loving and tireless support throughout the past year. Visitation at Huntingville Community Church (1399 Campbell, Huntingville) on Wednesday, July 22, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM.
The celebration of David’s life will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2:00 PM at Huntingville Community Church and he will be laid to rest in Malvern Cemetary immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the palliative care units of the CHUS hospitals or to the Dr. W.J. Klinck Foundation. “I will enter His courts with praise …”
