Robert “Bob” Parsons
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Parsons, who passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the age of 83.
Born in Bury, Quebec, Robert was raised by Lena and Gordon Dougherty. He was one of five siblings, alongside his sisters Connie, Gene and Marguerite, and his late brother Raymond.
Bob made his home in Lennoxville, Quebec, where he became a respected pillar of the community. Through hard work, determination and an entrepreneurial spirit, he built Pro-Par, a successful company in the propane industry. His dedication to his work and his community was a source of great pride throughout his life.
Above all, Bob cherished his family and the people he loved. He leaves behind his two daughters, Amy and Trish (Mike) four grandchildren, Malcolm, Maya, William and Kate and his close friend, Carolle, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Bob will be remembered for the life he built, the people he touched, and the love he gave to his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in all those who knew and loved him.
Rest peacefully. You will always be loved, always be remembered, and forever be in our hearts.
A celebration of life will be held at the Steve Elkas Funeral home, 4230 Rue Bertrand-Fabi, Sherbrooke QC.
Visitation will take place on Friday, September 11 from 6-8pm and Saturday, September 12 from 11-12:30pm. Funeral service will immediately follow, at 12:30pm.
