It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emilie Ishak (nee Said). She passed away at the Sacre Coeur Hospital in Montreal on December 30 2025 at 9;25 am. She leaves to mourn her four daughters: Rita (Yousef Hammamji), Nelly (Jacques Khaouam), Maggy (Albert Saati), Katie (the late Jean-Luc Pepin); her 16 grandchildren and their spouses; and 18 great grandchildren; her sisters: Janette Kullah (the late Saliba Kullah), Violet Jani (the late Georges Jani); as well as many relatives and friends.
Emilie was a dearly loved mother and grandmother. She devoted her life to her husband (the late Said Georges Ishak) and family. She will be remembered as beautiful, kind and selfless. She kept her sharp wit and mind till the very end. She will be sorely missed by All.
Family and friends will meet at the Steve L. Elkas Complex, 4230 Bertrand-Fabi Street, Sherbrooke, QC, J1N 1X6, on Saturday January 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM in the complex chapel followed by the burial at the Elmwood Cemetery, Sherbrooke, QC.
