Mr Ashton HERRING ( August 11, 1946 – November 7, 2025 )

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ashton Herring on Friday, November 7, 2025, in North Hatley, comforted by the presence and love of his wife Judy by his side.

Ashton was the son of Elwin and Jessie Herring, born on August 11, 1946. He built a successful career as the owner of Unicast in Sherbrooke, Quebec, where he was highly respected for his integrity and business acumen. He cherished life in North Hatley where he and Judy made their forever home. Ashton enjoyed caring for his property, working in his garage and traveling, especially during winters in Florida with friends.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Judy; his brothers Eric (Kathy), Denis (Ginette); sister-in-law Yolande.  Predeceased by his siblings Ken, Rebecca and Linda. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He will also be missed by Judy’s children Steven, Debra and Gary, along with grandsons Jason and Robert.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to Dr. Lapierre, the Magog Hospital Dialysis Department and the Palliative Care Department for their exceptional compassion and care.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed by Chapel Service and Reception, at Elkas Funeral Home, 4230 rue Bertrand-Fabi, Sherbrooke, QC, J1N 1X6.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice in memory of Ashton Herring would be deeply appreciated.
