It is with profound sadness that we inform you of the passing of Mrs. Monique Verpaelst at her home in Sherbrooke (Huntingville), surrounded by her family, on Saturday August 16, 2025, at the age of 80. She was the daughter of the late Jean-Paul Verpaelst and of the Thérèse Dubé.
Mrs. Verpaelst Chartier leaves to mourn her loving husband : René Chartier, their three children : Sylvain (Chantal), Daniel (Danielle) and Josée (Alexandre), their ten grandchildren: Frédérique, Isaac, Jacob, Élie, Joseph, Charly, Caleb, Mathis, Noah and Julianne; her sister Louise (Walter (Buster) McComb); her two sisters-in-law: Gisèle (the late Antoine Leblanc) and Monique (the late Buddy Houle); as well as her many nieces, nephews, other friends and relatives.
Family and friends will meet at the Steve L. Elkas Complex (4230 Bertrand-Fabi, Sherbrooke), on Sunday September 14, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. A celebration of live service will follow in the complex chapel.
