Jennifer Lauren (Dot) Hart

Jennifer Lauren (Dot) Hart February 6, 1945 – July 30, 2026, It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Jennifer (Dot) Hart in her 82nd year, surrounded by the love of her family at Norton One, the Wales Home in Richmond, Quebec, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s.

Jennifer (Dot) was born in Richmond, New Zealand, the daughter of Constance Ruth Jessop and Steve Hart. She will forever remain in the heart of her beloved husband Milton Haynes.

Jennifer and Milton lived for many years in the Toronto/Mississauga/Midland areas of Ontario and at frequent times in Nelson, New Zealand until residing in Sherbrooke and Richmond, Quebec.

Jennifer was predeceased by her sisters Margaret, Beverly, Kathleen, Rosalie and brother Lyall (Pip). Out of this large family one remains, sister Pamela and all Dot’s loving nieces and nephews.

She is lovingly remembered by her children Paul Russell (Hilary), Brett Barber (Myriam), daughter-in-law Michelle Russell and her step-children Ann Haynes (Cal) and Rob Haynes (Shawna). Loving grandmother of Alex Russell, Renee Russell (Rowan), James Barber, Lewis Barber, Thomas Barber and step-grandmother of Nathan Baker, Zach Rezsek (Alex), Kyle Knapp (Amanda), Jacob Haynes, Lucas Haynes, Deacon Creen and Mady Creen, Daniel Kirby and Ben Kirby. Predeceased by her step-granddaughter Jessica St. Jules. Step-Great Grandmother of Elizabeth Lyons-Baker, Christopher Lyons-Baker and Jaydenn St. Jules.

A special thank you to all the Staff at the Wales Home and especially the caring Staff of Norton One for the excellent care, compassion and support they provided to Jennifer for her almost five years stay in long term care.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington, Ontario at a later date.
