Peacefully, and surrounded by her loving family, Mrs. Liliane Blanchard-O’Gallagher passed away at the Centre d’hébergement St-Vincent in Sherbrooke, on April 23, 2025, at the age of 92. She was the beloved daughter of the late Gérard Blanchard and the late Charlotte Prince, and the cherished wife of the late Patrick O’Gallagher.
Family and friends will meet at the Steve L. Elkas Complex (4230 Bertrand-Fabi, Sherbrooke) on Saturday May 17 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The religious service will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. in the complex chapel, followed by a small reception. The burial will take place at St-Michael’s Cemetery in Sherbrooke at a later date.
Mrs. Blanchard-O’Gallagher is reunited in peace with her cherished husband, Patrick O’Gallagher. She leaves in mourning her loving children: Paul, Dennis (Françine Roy), John, Kevin (Sandra Croteau), and Christine (Christopher Bridge); her brothers and sisters: Estelle (the late Léo Doyon), the late Aline, the late Jean-Guy (the late Jesse Bailey), the late Andrée (the late Russell Reid), the late Rolland (Anne MacEachern), the late George (Eileen MacEachern), Monique (the late Jean-Pierre Soubry), the late Marc (Raymonde Dubord).
Her brothers and sisters-in-law; Ellen Clare (late Kenneth Wood), the late Marianna, the late John (Nicole Paquette), the late Brendan (the late Terry McNeil), the late Neil; also left to mourn are her many great-grandchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other friends and relatives.
The family would like to thank all the medical and support personnel of the Centre d’hébergement St-Vincent, for the comforting, kind and professional care given to Mrs. Blanchard-O’Gallagher. As a memorial tribute, donations to the Fondation du CHUS would be appreciated.

I will always remember your Mom’s beautiful smile and her love of life.Each summer when we went to the O’G camp, your wonderful parents came to see us.
I have such fond memories of her sitting out on the lawn chairs by the River laughing with Mom! Keep well.
