Mrs Ruby Estella Woods      February 9, 1933 – May 2, 2026

It is with saddened hearts and loving memories that the family of Ruby Estella Woods (age 93) announce her peaceful passing at the CHUS – Hotel Dieu on May 2, 2026, after being a courageous warrior over the past several years.

Ruby was the beloved wife of the late Wayne Wood, where she was a home maker and raised their 12 children.  Ruby was the cherished daughter of the late Andrew (Leon) and Nelly (Rolleston) Woods, and devoted sister to Annis, Elizabeth, Bevin, Gordon and predeceased by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

Ruby will be dearly missed by her loving children: late Charlie, Linda, Larry, Earl (Dora), Raymond, Carlene, Eliane (Guy), Brian, Stanley, Susie, Tammy and Rose.  She also leaves to mourn her 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the CHUS Hotel Dieu and their compassionate cate and support. A special thank you to the staff of the Manoir Eau-Vive in Cookshire-Eaton for the compassionate care given to Gram.

Ruby’s memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

A private service will be held at a later date.
